A Heartfelt Request: Help Living With RLS Grow Into Something Bigger 💙

Sep 28, 2025

Living With RLS began as a small personal project. I wanted to create a place where people like me, people who lie awake at night battling restless legs, could feel less alone. What started as a blog is slowly becoming something more: a community, a source of comfort, and a voice for an often overlooked condition. Today, I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request.

Why This Matters 💙

Restless legs syndrome can be frustrating, painful, and deeply isolating. For years, I thought I was the only one awake at 3am, pacing or stretching just to get through the night. But when I began sharing my experiences online, something wonderful happened: people wrote back.

Now, every day, new visitors arrive at Living With RLS. Some leave comments, some quietly read, and a few of us have even started chatting in the Discord channel. It’s small right now, but it’s real. Real people supporting each other, swapping tips, and saying, “You’re not alone.”

That simple connection has kept me going. And it’s why I want to grow this project into something bigger, something that can truly help thousands of people who are still searching for answers in the dark.

My Vision for Living With RLS ✨

With your support, here’s what I’d love to make possible:

  • More helpful blogs & guides — covering practical tips, treatment updates, and personal stories that resonate.

  • A stronger community hub — our Discord has just a few voices now, but with time it could be a thriving support network where people drop in at 2am and find someone else awake.

  • Social media channels that shine — I’d love to see Living With RLS reaching new people on Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and Pinterest, so no one has to stumble in the dark alone.

  • Collaborations & awareness — working with wellness creators, medical voices, and maybe even brands who care, so RLS finally gets the attention it deserves.

  • Bringing in help — I’d love to bring a social media manager or content creator onboard, someone who believes in the cause and can help spread the message further than I can alone.

The Honest Truth 🌙

Right now, it’s tough. This site runs on passion, long nights, and whatever energy I can spare. But keeping it alive, hosting, creating, managing, updating, all comes with costs. I can’t always cover them alone, and that means progress slows down when I want it to be speeding up.

I don’t like asking for help, but the truth is: Living With RLS needs it.

How You Can Support 💙

Even the smallest gesture can help us move forward:

  • Buy Me a Coffee — a one-time gift (from just £3) helps keep the lights on → Buy Me a Coffee

  • Patreon — monthly support that gives stability and allows me to plan ahead → Patreon

And if donating isn’t possible for you right now (which I fully understand), there are other ways to support:

  • Share Living With RLS with someone who might need it

  • Join us in the Discord chat and add your voice to the community

  • Spread the word to anyone who might want to collaborate or help run our socials

Why It Matters

Every donation, every share, every conversation helps keep this project alive. Together, we can:

  • Publish posts that give someone comfort on a rough night

  • Grow awareness of RLS so people stop feeling invisible

  • Build a community that’s there in the quiet hours when symptoms are hardest

This is about more than a blog. It’s about creating a safe, hopeful space that didn’t exist when I needed it most.

Final Thoughts 💫

If you’ve ever felt the frustration of restless legs, you know how much a small bit of comfort can mean. That’s what I want Living With RLS to be: a place where people feel seen, supported, and just a little less alone.

I can’t do it without you. Truly.

Even one small coffee, one Patreon supporter, one shared link — it all adds up. And together, we can keep building Living With RLS into something that makes a real difference.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading this, for visiting the site, and for being part of this journey. 💙
